MOBILE HYDROGEN TRANSPORT UNITS

Powertech has pioneered the use of lightweight carbon fiber composite tanks for the high pressure bulk transportation of hydrogen, for mobile hydrogen fueling station applications, and for portable self-contained hydrogen fueling units.

Transportable compressed hydrogen units can be custom-designed to meet customer needs, including transport trailers, mobile fuelers, and portable filling stations. Mobile station designs can either contain only high pressure hydrogen storage for a limited number of fills, or can include a high speed compressor for multiple high pressure fuelings using a medium-pressure hydrogen source.

Powertech has provided mobile hydrogen fueling at numerous fuel cell vehicle events across North America, including the Alaska/Canada (AlCan) Highway drive by Toyota in 2007. Portable fueling units have also provided various automotive OEMs with hydrogen fuel supply in support of cold temperature FCEV tests in remote locations.
